The Hanna Herd was born from a dream that actually began on our own wedding day. When Daniel and I chose to rent miniature donkeys for our celebration, we had no idea that simple, joyful detail would plant a seed in our hearts. Watching our guests light up and seeing how much personality and charm those animals brought to the day sparked something in us — we knew one day we wanted to create that same kind of unforgettable experience for other couples.

 

Shortly after we were married, we experienced the loss of our baby boy — a season that deeply shaped our hearts and strengthened our faith in ways we never imagined. In that valley, the desire to build something new began to grow. We felt called to create something rooted in joy, purpose, and praise — something that honored both the blessings we see and the ones we carry in our hearts.

 

As we settled into life in the Texas Hill Country, our love for the countryside and the cattle industry deepened. What began as a slower, more intentional way of living became a true passion. We fell in love with the rhythm of ranch life, the beauty of cattle, and the peace that comes from stewarding the land well.

 

The Hanna Herd is the merging of those chapters — celebration and countryside, joy and reverence. Our miniature cows bring warmth, charm, and country elegance to weddings and events, but to us they represent something even deeper: choosing praise after the valley, building beauty from broken places, and sharing the joy we believe God continues to write into our story.
